Every month, ScrapMode hosts a challenge on the ScrapMode blog, and the prize is well worth your time: $100 worth of gorgeous ScrapMode product, including some of the new rubber stamps, some buttons, and all of the new papers. This month, the challenge is to create a layout with a letter to Santa (or another type of letter). To be eligible for the drawing, your layout must include 80% ScrapMode papers. The deadline is December 31st. Send your layout to tania@scrapmode.com, and visit the ScrapMode blog to see what the design team has done with this challenge. Good luck!
Here’s my layout for the challenge:
The journaling is in the form of a letter to my son, who has (thankfully) passed out of this little phase:
My dear Alexander,
You say that I’m a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad mother. That I’m the meanest mother in the world. That I’m evil. And, also, that I “stingk.”
Here is the evidence that you present:
1. I make you clean your room and pick up after yourself.
2. I correct you when you’re rude or do something wrong.
3. I insist that you complete your homework thoughtfully and neatly.I won’t argue with any of these points. If all this makes me the meanest mother in the world, then so be it. I don’t do these horrible things to torment you or to make you mad. I do it because it’s the only way I know to help you become a responsible, caring, and well-educated young man.
You’ll understand someday. You might even appreciate it. Until then, please remember that there’s no g in stinks. And pick up your room.
I love you to pieces!
Mom
