I’m a pack rat when it comes to scrapbooking items. I inherited my father’s inability to throw away anything that might be useful…someday. I save everything, from small lengths of ribbon to tiny scraps of paper. I also collect nonscrapbook items that strike my fancy and might eventually find their way onto a page.
No doubt my habit has saved me money over the years—I do try to make use of small scraps of cardstock before cutting into a new sheet, for example—but it has created a bit of a problem in my scrap room: too much stuff, too little space. Hence my mission for 2008: purge, clean, organize.
I know many scrappers face the same dilemma, so I’ll be sharing my efforts through the year. Join me on this mission, if you like. Perhaps you’ll pick up a tip or two to help you gain control of your own stash…or perhaps you’ll learn through my mistakes!

good luck! I’ve just redone my room (again) and purged a TON of stuff. I feel like I’m always doing this. But I feel like I’ve finally gotten it under control – one of my goals is not to be buying so much stuff!
Judith-
I look forward to seeing more posts about this! My word for 2008 is “edit”… I’ve done better than I thought with this throughout the rest of my house, but for some reason, I have trouble with the scrap room! I get stuck in the… someday I’ll use it.. can’t wait to see your ideas!
