I like to use scraps of paper to make cards. It appeals to my thrifty nature, I guess. These cards for my mother and mother-in-law are made from leftover pieces from ScrapMode’s Nature Love and Star-a-Gogo collections. The Alpha Crystals stickers add a sparkly touch.
And here’s a layout about my adventures yesterday at Chuck E. Cheese (an arcade/pizza joint for the grade-school set). The “drawing” is from a photo booth there—quite a good deal for one token. The papers are from the So Simple line.

Journaling:
This whole motherhood thing is a bit sketchy, if you ask me. On the
one hand you have the miracle of birth, the delicious smell of freshly
bathed babies, the unbridled joy of toddlers . . . and on the other
hand you have Chuck E. Cheese and The Promise That Must Not
Be Broken. Never mind that the promise was made on an overcast
morning when I was feeling energetic and had no headache and that
it was called in on a sunny spring afternoon when the noise level at
Chuck E. Cheese was enough to drive Mother Teresa to distraction.
Oh, well. Such is life, I suppose. At least they still have that cool
rollercoaster simulator. Hey, can I borrow a token?
